PlayStation 4 Adding YouTube This Year
Sony has announced that YouTube will be integrated into the PS4 sometime this year. CEO of computer entertainment and company president Shawn Layden confirmed at the E3 gaming conference that YouTube is being added to the PlayStation 4’s lineup.
Layden said that “with the simple press of the DualShock 4 share button, PS4 gamers will be able to quickly upload video captures to their YouTube channel.”
This is something that has been highly requested since Sony launched the PS4. Watching other gaming videos and livestreams will also be built into the app, which sill be found under the social options on the console.
There’s no word when exactly Sony plans to launch the app other than a time-frame of this year, but chances are it will be in fall.
